My story

An engineer's curiosity. A marketer's judgment.

Four chapters, from a mechanical engineering degree in Manipal to a marketing classroom in Austin.

What actually keeps a business alive

Growing up, I was fascinated by businesses. Not the products they sold, but what kept them alive: cash flow, decisions, customers, and the countless moving pieces behind every company that survived.

That curiosity is what led me from mechanical engineering into marketing.

    Learning the channels properly

Agency work at Neil Patel Digital gave me the unglamorous half of the job: budgets, CTR, CPC, conversion data, and 20+ businesses whose results were reviewed every week.

It taught me to argue with a number before acting on it.

    Theory meets the family business

Ecommerce and then the family business showed me how different reality is from theory. The frameworks still mattered, but the room for error was smaller and the feedback was immediate.

Growth stopped being a channel question and started being a business question.

The more I learn, the more I see what I don't know

Marketing studies at UT Austin McCombs have made that the clearest thing I know. Every course is another way of reading a business: consumer behaviour, analytics, strategy, decision-making.

I'm spending this stretch asking better questions and learning from people further along than I am.

The work behind the story.
